Please read carefully the information below to learn how to install and run LAD.
Software prerequisites
To install LAD the following software packages have to be available on you computer
If these software packages are not available on your computer, please click on the links above to download them. More information about the software packages is available from www.microsoft.com.
If you are not sure if the above mentioned software packages are installed on your computer you can even so start the LAD v4.0 installation (as described in "How to install LAD v4.0"). During the installation process the setup program will inform you if some prerequisites are missing.

How to install LAD v4.0
To install LAD v4.0 please download the setup archive file using the link below
After downloading, please unzip the LAD v4.0.zip file in a temporary folder and run setup.exe. ATTENTION: For Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000 you need to have the administrator rights to install LAD. Please follow the instructions on the screen. If necessary you will have to install the prerequisites as described above.
TIP: During the installation you will be asked if LAD v4.0 will be installed only for the current user (default) or for everybody using that computer. If you chose to install only for the current user, other users will neither have a LAD v4.0 link in the "Start menu" nor on their desktop. However they will be able to run LAD from the installation folder.
After installation
After installing LAD v4.0 the program will run in DEMO mode. You can always check the running mode of your LAD installation by opening the "Help/About" window.
In DEMO mode the user interface can be explored and the results in the readymade projects can be visualized. During installation a projects subfolder is created in the installation folder containing sample projects.
How to upgrade
If you have already purchased a previous version of LAD you can download and install LAD v4.0 as explained above. Additionally, please send an upgrade request to LADsupport liekki.com to receive the corresponding license file. You will receive the new license file typically within 24h.
Please note that you do not have to uninstall any previous version of LAD.
Also note that you can import projects to LAD v4.0, which have been developed in LAD v3.0, LAD v3.1, LAD v3.2 and LAD v3.3. Please contact us if you want to import a project from an older version of LAD to LAD v4.0.

LIEKKI Application Designer v4.0 requires the following software packages to be installed on your computer

- Windows Installer 2.0 or later
- MDAC 2.5 or later
- .NET Framework 2.0
Hardware requirements
- Required processor: Pentium 200 MHz*
- Recommended processor: Pentium 1 GHz or faster
- Required RAM: 64 MB*
- Recommended RAM: 256 MB or higher
*Or the minimum required by the operating system, whichever is higher.
